It's October in Oregon. The trees and leaves and bushes are reaching the height of their richness. Today is a watery sunny and still day, so it's important to soak up this beauty for tomorrow or soon, the gray rain clouds will move in from the ocean.
Fall has always been the season when my energy picks up, after the sluggishness of late summer. I sleep less, I do more, I get interested in ego-less things that have more to do with others and diving into work.
ReplyDeleteGeez: Getting to the point where I can add a comment only took 1/2 hour. Technology-challenged I am.
ReplyDeleteIn October I, too, get a relaxed feeling. It's a good feeling to get the warm and fluffy apparel and blankies out again. Even my kitty's are more apt to snuggle with me. I crave comfort foods and begin to stock up on foods needed to make soups and stews. I get out my bread-making machine. I munch on nuts and dried fruits and am content to look out at the birds and squirrels. I guess this behavior of mine is called "nesting." So, are we connected to the animal kingdom? You bet we are!
